When you look into my eyes,
what do you see?
The debris from all the tragedy?
Thats only part of me.
Like a detainee,
I’m trapped inside.
Denied feelings of happiness,
only a slight will to survive.
I’m only here
For my mind to not take over me
to give me dignity
to fight another day.
Strength, not captivity
Ability, not anxiety .
I want to write words that need
to be heard, without them getting
Let me transfer the good
for all that are misunderstood.
I want to RISE
Thats what I want you to see
when you look into my eyes.
I am a lost soul glued to an immobile shadow
Eye always closed
If I open them, its a horror I only know.
The sweet smell of roses
splashed with blood.
It’s enough to loose my fading wit.
I will never move on
It stays with me like
skin to bone.

Poetry writers submit and get your words out there! I know how it feels, I’ve been there myself, but now being published so many times I have joined forces with some great editors and I’m excited to be apart of Unique.
I look forward to reading your work!
